Joe Jonas heads out on the red carpet for Tao Beach’s Season Opening at the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday (May 5).

THR just announced that the Jonas Brothers and Hollywood Records have parted ways.

“This was a decision that we made as a group,” Nick Jonas shared. “Naturally, as with any partnership, when you do part ways, there is emotion tied to it. We’ve been blessed to have a lot of success with Hollywood and with Disney, but speaking on behalf of my brothers [Joe and Kevin] and our team, we’re all looking forward to this next chapter. We’re ready for that next step as a group, and being able to take our work with us was so important.”

He added, “In these past three years, my brothers and I have not released a record, but we’ve really come into our own as men. And we’ve also lived life, which is an important part to making a record. I’ve got a studio set up in my apartment in New York where we can all put down our ideas. It’s a really liberating feeling to just be able to create and write whatever is on our hearts.”

WHAT DO YOU THINK about this news? Are you shocked or was this expected?

Jonas Brothers singer could be set to collaborate with Girls Aloud star.

We would probably give our left kneecaps for a personal call from one third of the Jonas Brothers – especially the fittest third.

But Cheryl Cole won’t even need to blink an eyelid to get a call from Joe Jonas.

Unfortunately for her, it won’t be too personal, as Joe only wants to get in touch about a possible collaboration.

We asked Joe if Cheryl’s on his ‘hot list’ for the future, and he told us working with the star is “absolutely” a possibility.

He added: “I’ve worked with a couple of UK artists already. Pixie Lott is a great friend and we’ve written a couple of songs together that you may here in the future.”

The 22-year-old released his first solo album this year and says life without his brothers, Nick and Kevin, has been nerve-wracking.

He told OK.co.uk: “On my flight to my first show without my brothers I was definitely nervous, but once I hit the stage and saw the fans reaction that all went away.

“Even now there are moments when I look to my left or right and wish they could be with me to experience events or places I’ve been without them, but it’s been an amazing ride.”

And while Joe found the experience “intimidating”, he does say he hasn’t been too worried about changing his squeaky-clean Disney image.

He added: “I didn’t feel any pressure to change my image, I just got older and my tastes have changed.

“It was a natural progression, nothing contrived, just me growing up along with the fans. I’m so glad I’ve had the chance to show them who I am as an individual.”

He even had some sound advice for X Factor winners Little Mix on how to stay level headed.

He told us: “Practice a lot and work hard. Never stop doing either. Even X Factor winners have to keep practicing to get better and work hard to make good music and to reach fans.

“Bono once gave me a great piece of advice; to always write completely honest lyrics, which I’ve always taken to heart.”

A review of ‘Fastlife’ is featured on this month’s issue of People Magazine, I added 1 medium quality photo to the gallery and wrote down the review bellow, check it out.

No matter how many girls’ wall your poster has been on, making the transition from boy-band heartthrob to solo stud is a tricky one that many haven’t successfully navigated. Remember the albums by New Kids on Block’s Jordan Knight, Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter or 98′s Nick Lachey? I didn’t think so. At 22, Joe Jonas, frontman of the JoBros, attempts to pull a Justin Timberlake on his solo debut with R&B – and dance-influenced make – over designed to give him more edge than Camp Rock would allow. He even recruits producer Danja, protege of Timbaland – who worked on JT’s Justified and Future Sex/Lovesounds. The results are mixed, as Danja is not Tima, and Jonas isn’t quite convincing trying to bring some of the sexy back on some of these songs. But JJ gests surprisingly funky on the synth-driven title track and finds airy pop bliss on “All This Time”.

On October 11, 2011 Joe Jonas is set to release his first solo album titled Fastlife. Hearing that Joe was going solo admittedly made me a bit excited when I first heard the news. Joe is not only the best looking of the Jonas brothers but has noticeably the better voice. It wasn’t hard at all to picture Joe going solo and I was curious to hear how his music came out. Joe’s named people like Justin Timberlake as his musical and solo inspirations; he nabbed big-time producer and repeat-Britney Spears collaborator Danja to lead off the album: so obviously, Joe Jonas seems set for musical success. Well, hold that thought. While Fastlife definitely has it’s great pop and dance moment, it also suffers that first solo album territory of the artist not truly knowing where he wants to go and how he wants to define himself. Here’s a look at the tracks of Joe Jonas’ solo album Fastlife.

Track-by-Track
“All This Time” is an interesting way to kick-off the album. This track isn’t a club-banger, it isn’t a dance track, it’s a simple ballad that shows off Joe’s vocal talents. “All This Time” is an innocent love ballad though the lyrics are a little suggestive if you read in-between the lines: “I put it right in your face, girl, it’s yours all you gotta do is reach out and grab it.” Sure, he’s talking about his love though I couldn’t help but to snicker and think he was talking about his, ahem, “love” especially when he sings, “I know you took it hard …. it’s nothing to be scared of.” Moving on, “Just In Love” feels like old-school boy band material; it’s pop perfection with bubbly synths, a percussion beat that’ll have you nodding your head in rhythm and singing along quietly in your room while you’re all alone. It’s easy tosee why this was already chosen as a single due to the fact that it’s so darn catchy and cheesy. “See No More” is supposed to be a power ballad and doesn’t work as well as the album’s first two tracks; his voice and vocals seem a bit stretched and strained and overall this feels a bit too cliché coming from a former boy-bander.
